On October 30th, Kaw Valley Bank presented the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library with a check for $1,061.00 for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Sandy Atwood with Kaw Valley Bank said the donation was the third quarter employee donations for a local charity.
Imagination Library has a total enrollment of 5,497 or 50 percent of the 11,005 children under five years of age living in Shawnee County. With today's check, an additional 35 children will receive a free monthly book through the mail for one year.
