New Addition in the Topeka Room
Thanks to the financial support of Dr. Phillip and Betty Baker and other donors, the Topeka Room now has two ScanPro 3000 Microfilm Reader/Scanners! The ScanPro 3000 is designed with the best that technology has to offer in microfilm viewing and image retrieval. It can read and select text (OCR) or find keywords. It can scan multiple pages into a PDF document and select different articles from the screen. You can use it to enhance and save images, print, save to disk or email and much more!
The complete Topeka newspaper collection is now easier than ever to view and scan. Use it to review Topeka’s local history, find obituaries and learn more about your family history and genealogy in the Baker Genealogy Center. Within a couple of minutes, you can view any article and retrieve information with the click of a few on-screen buttons. It’s simple, fast, and fun!
Come visit us in the Topeka Room on the second floor of the library to see the latest in technology at work!
