On Friday, December 11th, several gathered to dedicate a tree planted on the library grounds to honor Dr. Robert Harder. Pictured are his wife Dottie Harder, daughter Anne Marley and library CEO Gina Millsap. Dr. Harder served as a library trustee from 2009 to 2014. He passed away April 12, 2014. The library's Kindergarten Graduation IREAD Program is funded through Dr. Harder's memorial gifts and will continue in his name. The IREAD program is one of several early childhood literacy programs the library is focusing on this year. Others include: Dolly Parton Imagination Library Read with Me, and Mobile Early Childhood Learning Center.
