Dick & Donna Crawford Scholarship Fund

In 2001 library donors Dick and Donna Crawford made a $20,000 pledge to honor Library employees who exemplify the Library’s high standards of public service. They then made an additional $5,000 gift to create the Dick and Donna Crawford Scholarship Fund, enabling Library employees to pursue continuing education and training opportunities that benefit the Library’s service to the community.

I am so grateful I was a recipient of the Dick and Donna Crawford Scholarship. The award helped pay part of my tuition as I worked on my Masters in Library Science at the University of Missouri. I was able to obtain leadership roles here at the library because of it. The scholarship is a great way to invest in the library and make sure we have knowledgeable staff serving the Topeka community. – Kelli Smith, 2008 Recipient
