New Adventuremobile Rolls Into Town
The new Adventuremobile was unveiled Thursday, March 21 at Security Benefit by Doug Wolff, President of Security Benefit Life, and Gina Millsap, TSCPL CEO. This new bookmobile was made possible by the receipt of a major gift from the Security Benefit Charitable Trust to fund a new bookmobile for children to replace a 25-year-old vehicle. At the unveiling, attendees were invited to take a tour of the bookmobile and Security Benefit children enjoyed storytime and were given a bookmark with Adventuremobile summer schedule.
The Adventuremobile will travel to 20 elementary schools during the school year and through-out the community in the summer inspiring curiosity in children through reading, and helping them gain a better understanding of the world. It is also a resource for teachers and helps them to augment their lesson plans, making the mobile library even more valuable to the community.
TSCPL will have an open house celebration for the introduction of the Adventuremobile to library patrons on Sunday, June 2 from 1-4 pm. Mark your calendars. In the meantime, look for the Adventuremobile around town!
